Last year our department was ecstatic to work with UVIC Indigenous Law Research Unit on a new comic book. This graphic narrative is part of a project examining Indigenous and colonial water laws in the territories of the Tsilhqot’in Nations, Lower Similkameen Indian Band, Cowichan Tribes and Province of British Columbia. The project required numerous samples and work back schedules in order to deliver a quality product on time. Throughout the process we sampled different stocks, bindery options and custom features like adding boards and bags to really finish off the project and deliver the impact they were hoping to achieve. Their event launch was well received and the new comic book was a hit. We look forward to working with UVIC Indigenous Law Research in the Future.
